A Cotswolds Retreat
THINGS TO DO
I booked this house for a weekend away with some friends. The host sent a very informative message the week before to outline when we could arrive and when we should leave by. On arrival the house is beautifully decorated and has all the essential amenities. We were very impressed with the washing machine as it meant we could wash and dry our clothes after kayaking. The house is in a great location with fantastic walks and a water sports centre just a few minutes walk away. The hosts also returned some belongings that we had left very promptly! We had a fantastic time!
Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Our cotswold holiday retreat is a beautiful New England style lakeside cottage overlooking Windrush Lake in the Cotswold Water Park near Cirencester. It is a perfect setting for a relaxing break to escape your busy life. The Cotswold Water Park has superb scenery and facilities with fishing, sailing, golf, and much more right on the doorstep.
One of our favourite outings as a family we have named 'Village Hopping'. This is not for everyone, but visiting the beautiful scenery of Bibury, the tea rooms of Bourton on the Water or even travelling further afield to experience the historic Stratford Upon-Avon is one of the many ways to take advantage of this Outstanding Area of Natural Beauty.
History & Culture
Immerse yourself in the history of the Cotswolds at one of the many Cotswolds museums, great historic houses, or just walk through the streets and down the back lanes within the beautiful Cotswold stone towns and villages.
Maybe more suitable for the warmer months of the year, The Cotswold Country Park and Beach boasts a cafe, ice-cream parlour and brand new WiBit Aqua Park on the North Lake to keep the kids happy.
The New England style retreat is located on Windrush Lake, one of one-hundred and fifty lakes in the Cotswold Water Park.
Situated on a large decking area with comfortable seating and outdoor table for relaxing.
Modern, clean and simple interiors for you to relax in during your stay.
Quality restaurants and entertainment surround this tranquil environment, with many just a short drive or walk away.
The lodge is thoroughly cleaned after each visit and housekeepers ensure special touches such as a welcome cake to make your stay that little bit more memorable.
The lodge is equipped with fast broadband, allowing you to stay connected whilst switching off.
Being situated on a forty-acre lake, the lodge is a short distance from many outdoor pursuits including windsurfing, sailing, or kayaking.
Due to the central location of the Cotswold Water Park and the vast area of wetland habitats, bird monitoring and ringing studies are showing that this area is an important stop-over for feeding for migrating birds, during both the Spring and the Autumn.
The tranquility of the Cotswolds in the day is counterracted by its livelihood at night, with numerous bars, clubs and the best pubs England has to offer.
